Guests who want to stay at the Peak 8 Base past gondola operating hours can catch a ride down on the Black Route on the Breck Free Ride Shuttle that picks up just below the gondola on Ski Hill Road. The Shuttle runs year-round and is a great alternative to getting into town at the end of a day on the slopes if the gondola line is long.
Though it is free to ride the gondola for transportation from town to the base area, lift tickets must be purchased to ski and mountain bike (uphill lift use). *Lift tickets can be purchased at the ticket office at the base of the gondola as well as Peak 7, Peak 8, and Peak 9 base areas.

For summer on mountain activities it is also recommended to purchase tickets online in advance at Breckenridge.com

The BreckConnect Gondola is open in the summer to transport you between the town and the base at Peak 8. Riding the gondola is FREE!

In the summer months you can ascend past the Peak 8 Base Area on the Colorado Super Chair (paid activity). You will ride in an open chair over the ski runs enjoying beautiful views on the way to Alpine Camp atop Peak 8. Once you arrive you can hike about and explore before you descend.
