Summit County Rec Path

With elevations ranging from 8,777 feet to 10,563 feet, there is a wide range of difficulty levels to utilize throughout Summit County. The Recpath is a multi-use path available for nordic skiing, biking, dog walking, skateboarding, families with strollers and locals commuting to work. The Summit County, U.S. Forest Service, and the towns of Breckenridge and Frisco have partnered to groom the Recpath between Frisco and Breckenridge throughout the winter that allows more opportunities for winter recreation. Take your bike or skis on the groomed trails that now connect the Gold Run Nordic Center and Frisco Nordic Center, as well as Breckenridge and Frisco. The grooming operations include track-setting for classic Nordic skiers and laying corduroy for skate skiers, cyclists and other non-motorized users. As long as natural snow conditions allow, grooming of the pathway continues through April 30th.
