Breckenridge is the ultimate winter destination for not only downhill skiing, but also nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Wake up early for a sunrise snowshoe hike or take the family for a fun day of cross-country skiing through the mountains. Nordic skiing is a nice break from the busy resorts and is guaranteed to provide some peace and quiet (plus a great calorie burn!) during your vacation.
Breckenridge Nordic Center
The Breckenridge Nordic Center is located just a couple minutes’ drive from downtown Breckenridge. Explore the 1,400 acres of groomed trails with your family or group. Nordic skiing and snowshoeing is fun for all ages and levels, and rentals and lessons are available for everyone. If the kids can walk, they can learn to ski, and if they are too young to walk, the Breckenridge Nordic Center has “pulk” sleds available that are easy to use so the little ones can come along too! The trails start right out back of the lodge and wind through Breckenridge’s protected Cucumber Gulch Preserve and up into the high country. After a big day on the trails, enjoy the food and drink specials and warm up next to the fireplace back at the lodge. The Breckenridge Nordic Center is also a great venue to host events such as weddings and birthdays.Services Include:

Gold Run Nordic Center
Gold Run Nordic Center has something for everyone. There is ideal beginner terrain for first-timers and novices. Intermediate skiers can explore miles and miles of trails all throughout Breckenridge. Gold Run Nordic Center also offers challenging trails for the advanced and expert skiers.Snowshoers are also welcomed to explore more than 13 kilometers of snowshoe trails and fat bikes are also welcomed on these trails. Dogs are welcome on some of the trails as well, so feel free to bring Fido! Gold Run Nordic Center offers a clubhouse with fireplace to warm up before going out and after a long day on the trails. They also offer a full-service retail shop that has clothes and accessories.
Don’t forget to bring your camera as you are sure to come by some breathtaking views along the way. The friendly, professional staff are there from 9:00 - 4:00 PM to help walk you through the process and get your group signed up for group and private cross-country ski lessons for all ages and levels. Their rental shop has quality ski and snowshoe rentals and a Rossignol Demo Center/Pro Shop.
