Copper Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado is located just 7 miles down I-70 West from Frisco on the opposite side of the Tenmile Range. The resort has 2,765 acres of in-bounds skiing. Once you arrive at Copper, you can park your car and use the free shuttle to access the village area. East, Center, and West villages break up the resort and can be used to easily navigate the area. Lodging options in either Frisco or Copper are extremely convenient to access skiing and resort activities. 

  • East Village contains mostly condominium complexes and has access to mostly Black Diamond/Expert terrain.
  • Center Village is the main base area with shops, restaurants, ice skating rink, rentals, and Camp Hale and the terrain above it accessed by American Eagle and American Flyer which is mostly Blue/Intermediate and some Green/Beginner terrain. The superpipe is located in between the Eagle and Flyer lifts and events such as USASA and U.S. Grand Prix can be seen from Center Village.
  • West Village contains mostly Green terrain and also has access to the terrain parks for all levels and the Woodward Central Park accessed via the Union Creek chairlift.

For advanced riders, take the complimentary Tucker Mountain Snowcat up to the West Ridge or Copper Bowl which can be accessed above the base of Mountain Chief chairlift.

GETTING HERE & PARKING 
Summit Stage - Take the free public bus from Frisco, Keystone, Silverthonre, Dillon, or Breckenridge. You will be dropped off right in front of Center Village. Hop back on in the evening after hitting your favorite apres ski spot. For those staying in Frisco, this is an extremely convenient way to get to and from the resort and will take 10 - 15 minutes. Staying in other area towns, the bus will take 30 or more minutes, and will require an easy bus transfer. 
Driving Directions by Car
Parking - The Alpine Lot is the free parking lot with a free shuttle that will bring you to each of the 3 villages. During ski season, there are mutliple shuttles that make a loop about every 10 minutes. There are paid parking lots within the resort at each village.

Copper Mountain offers many different types of lessons to all ages and ability levels. Avoid the possible frustration of learning to ski or ride from a friend or teaching yourself, and get proper instruction from an expert in a personalized, unintimidating environment. Copper Mountain also offers private lessons for those wanting the most personal instruction or to finetune techniques while exploring the mountain. Adult Lessons:
Full-Day lessons go from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM and the Half-Day lesson option times are 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM or 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Advanced reservations are recommended as availability is not always guaranteed.  All group lessons meet in West Village
Youth Lessons:
Let the kids take to the mountain while you enjoy a day out exploring. Lessons are a great way to get kids excited about snowsports and before you know it they’ll be cruising right along with you! Lessons are open to kids ages 3-17 where children will be put into groups based on their skill levels. Lessons go all day and include snacks and lunch (Copper Mountain is a “nut aware” facility and does not have nuts in any of the food or snacks they provide; Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options are available).
