The Dillon/Silverthorne area is in close proximity to multiple world class ski resorts. The three closest are Keystone Resort, Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin Ski Area. 
 

Copper Mountain

Copper is known for having the early-season snow necessary to open the first superpipe of the season in the U.S., and continually providing the best conditions for the 2,465 acres of awesome trails and village space. The mountain's naturally divided terrains allows skiers and riders to enjoy at their own skill level. Difficulty progresses as you move from West to East. The bowl skiing at Copper Bowl, Spaulding Bowl, and Resolution Bowl offer fabulous cornice and tree skiing for experienced skiiers and riders. The Woodward Mountan Parks offer freestyle features such as jumps, rails, and boxes that progess is scale and difficulty. Copper Mountain Resort truly has something for everyone.

Keystone 

Keystone offers the largest amount of ski terrain in Summit County, Colorado as it consists of three mountains — Dercum Mountain, North Peak and the Outback, along with 5 bowls (Independence, Erickson, Bergman, North and South Bowls), which offers skiing for all levels. The resort has 2 gondolas, the River Run Gondola runs from River Run Village, up to the top of Dercum Mountain. The Outpost Gondola can be accessed from the top of Dercum Mountain and takes guests and skiers to more terrain and restaurants on North Peak.

Be sure to take the kids to Kidtopia which hosts fun activities daily such as face painting, crafts, stargazing and more! Kidtopia is also known for the World's Largest Snow Fort which can be accessed from the River Run Gondola. Experience tubing at 11,640' at Keystone's Adventure Point during the winter AND summer on Colorado's only summer tubing operation on snow at the top of the River Run Gondola. Keystone hosts many festivals throughout the summer such as the Keystone Wine & Jazz Festival in July, the Keystone Bluegrass & Beer Festival and Oktoberfest in August.

Arapahoe Basin

With a summit elevation of 13,050 feet, visit the Swiss Alps right here in the Colorado Rockies. Set at the base of the Continental Divide on Loveland Pass, A-Basin offers over 100 expertly carved trails, boasting above-timberline bowls, and deep powder stashes. Groomed cruiser runs or chutes and glades - the Basin has it!

Arapahoe Basin, known as "The Legend" to many Coloradans, has one of the longest ski seasons in North America, open from October to June and sometimes longer! Enjoy the 360-degree view from the summit or lunch at Black Mountain Lodge all while skiing some of the best terrain in the world.
