Breckenridge Ice Fishing

Breckenridge Ice Fishing

Experience ice fishing at over 9,000 feet on Lake Dillon with views of Breckenridge, Frisco, and Dillon. The lake is home to brown trout, rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, arctic char, and smallmouth bass. Depending on ice conditions on the lake, guided trips usually run from around Thanksgiving through the middle of April. Reserve a warming hut with heaters, gear, tackle, bait and ice fishing sonars or take a guided tour to different access points and gain a higher chance of catching large fish to bring home for dinner! Most companies offer a variety of different trips depending on age, mobility, and experience levels.

Ice fishing is great as it accommodates all parties, children, and experience levels. Each person must obtain their fishing license from Walmart or City Market. It is $9.00 fee for a one day license for ages 16 and up. Five day or annual licenses are also available at these locations.
